Effects of Radiation

Do you get frequent migraines or headaches that you can’t explain?  I first became concerned about the effects of EMF when I noticed I was getting migraines again, and feeling like I had a hang-over when I hadn’t had any alcohol.  After watching the awesome presentation by Dr Devra Davis, (see below), I made certain changes and I no longer have these symptoms.

More and more studies are emerging showing the harmful effects on the human body of various levels of Electromagnetic Radiation (EMF/EMR) and Ionising Radiation.  Radiation is best described as “energy travelling in space” and is measured in wavelengths.

Electromagnetic Radiation is energy emanating from many devices and appliances including microwave ovens, mobile phones, tablets and computers, LED screens including Flat-screen TVs, most home “smart devices“, and electricity gas and water “smart meters“.

Ionising Radiation is electromagnetic radiation with enough energy so that during an interaction with an atom, it can remove tightly bound electrons from the orbit of an atom, causing the atom to become charged or ionized.

All wireless devices (baby monitors, cell phones, ear buds, laptops, wearables, Wi-Fi routers and “smart devices”) emit RadioFrequency (RF) or wireless radiation which research has determined to be biologically harmful. Wikipedia has an excellent reference article here, and Apple has a Legal Page that discusses RF radiation, recommending that a device be no closer that 5mm to the human body, so always use headphones and don’t put your phones in your your jeans pockets, your shirts or  bras.

Fortunately, there are some things you can do to minimize the effects of EMF/EMR.  First educate yourself, then you can make appropriate decisions like I did.

There is a huge awakening happening about the effects on the human body of 4G and 5G mobile devices, as 5G is now being rolled out in Australia, for example studies link cell phone radiation to health issues in children and unborn babies.
